Alice Braga Moraes is a well-known actress, fashion model and theatre artist, who primarily belongs to Brazil. Alice has been prominently appreciated for her exceptional performances in Brazilian movies like City of God and Lower City.

Apart from these native movies, 29 years old Alice has also made her presence felt in Hollywood through movies like I am Legend, Repo Men and Predators.

Personal Life:

Alice was born on April 15^th, 1983 in Sao Paulo City of Brazil. Being brought up in the guidance of her mother, Ana Braga and Aunt Sonia Braga, who were also actresses, this Brazilian beauty had in her genes to be an actress.

Alice commenced her acting journey by starring in school plays, TV commercials and movies as child artist. Alice is an eloquent speaker of languages like Portuguese, Spanish and English.

Presently, this gorgeous actress is single. Alice has never been married; although she was in a relationship with the actor Diego Luna for one year from 2004 to 2005.

Career:

Alice worked in a Portugese short film ‘Trampolim’ in 1998. But she came into limelight from the role of Angelica in the movie ‘City of God’ for which she received Best Supporting Actress nomination from the Cinema Brazil Grand Prize. In 2005 and 2006, she appeared in the movies ‘Lower City’ and ‘Only God Knows’, respectively.  Alice has also been in touch with Television through programs like Carandiru and Outras Historias.

This Brazilian beauty made her debut in Hollywood by ‘Journey to the End of Night’ in the year 2006. Alice has also worked in the successful and popular films like ‘I am Legend’, ‘Crossing Over’, ‘Repo Men’, ‘Predators’, ‘Blindness’, ‘The Milky Way’, ‘Drained’, ‘City of Gold’ and ‘Redbelt’.

Awards:

For the movie ‘Lower City’, in which Braga played the role of Karina, she received many awards which include the Best Actress Award in Verona Love Screens Film Festival, São Paulo Association of Art Critics Awards, Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival, Cinema Brazil Grand Prize and Prêmio Contigo Cinema.

Apart from these illustrious awards, Alice Braga was also acclaimed with the Special Mention in the Miami Film Festival for her role of Karina in ‘Lower City’.

Besides, she has also been nominated in Cinema Brazil Grand Prize for Best Supporting Actress  for her roles in ‘City of Gold’, ‘Drained’ and ‘Blindness’. Alice was also nominated for the same category in Black Reel Awards for ‘Blindness’.
